Dave Cunningham

This is Dave Cunningham - the all time leading scorer in Australian Olympic hockey history.

Yes, Australia has participated in Olympic hockey. Yes, ice hockey.

Australia played in the 1960 Winter Olympics in Squaw Valley, California. Predictably, the team didn't do very well. They lost all six of their games by a combined score of 93-10.

Cunningham scored 4 of Australia's goals and led the way with 6 points. Only linemate Russell Jones came close to matching him with 2 goals and 5 points.

Cunningham played from 1947 through 1965 with the Melbourne Blackhawks. Statistics are seemingly non-existent but Cunningham has been recognized with the Dave Cunningham trophy, awarded annually to the leading scorer in Australia's premier league.

He was described as a fast and hard forward.
